Door-to-Door Solicitation Notice

Dear Supporters:


Over the last few months, we have received phone calls from Ohio,
Arizona and parts of California regarding door-to-door solicitation.

While we are a community based counseling agency that works with high risk
youth, we DO NOT participate in door-to-door solicitation. Unfortunately
we have found that there are individuals who are using our name to collect
money for their personal gain.

Apparently, these individuals are using our website and phone number as a
point of reference for potential "donors". Please be advised that any
legitimate solicitation of funds will come directly from our office in
Salinas, California, our one and only location.

We apologize for any inconvenience this has caused you and would encourage
anyone who receives this type of solicitation on behalf of 2nd Chance to
report it to their local law enforcement agency.

It is unfortunate that these individuals have decided to prey upon the
generosity of those who recognize the need for effective programs that
offer healthy alternatives in the ongoing fight against gang violence.
